After temporary use at Thacher School, five modules are being repurposed into permanent housing — set on permanent foundations behind Sunnyside Church in Los Angeles. They will serve as transitional housing for young people aging out of foster care.
Why this matters
The steel-frame platform that makes Connect Shelters durable enough for frequent relocation also makes them durable enough for decades of permanent use. One module, two communities, fifteen-plus years of service — that's the economics of factory-built housing done right.
Status
Ongoing. Modules relocated from Ojai to Los Angeles; permanent foundations and site preparation in progress.
